Supportive housing research from the Corporation for Supportive Housing

The Consensus Project's Research pages provide listings of and links to research and other documents on various topics in criminal justice and mental health.

Two documents from the Corporation for Supportive Housing have been added to the Research – Mental Health page.
  • A Guide to Re-entry Supportive Housing articulates the need for supportive housing developers, service providers, and partners to recognize formerly incarcerated individuals -- including those with mental illness -- as a very significant of their target population, and outlines issues surrounding these individuals.
  • The Impact of NY/NY Housing on Criminal Justice System Involvement among Homeless Persons with Serious Mental Illness presents data collected in a University of Pennsylvania study, which shows that individuals who were provided with supportive housing experienced a significant decrease in incarceration and convictions, while a control group did not.
The Consensus Project continues to seek ways in which to develop the Information Center to make it more useful and comprehensive. To suggest documents for inclusion, please send email to .
