Mental Health in Corrections Consortium seeks papers for 2004 symposium
The Mental Health in Corrections Consortium, a membership-driven foundation that is an affiliate of the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, seeks papers for their 2004 symposium, on the topic of Mental Health Training for the Correctional Environment: Research, Practice, Results.

The deadline for submitting paper abstracts is November 30, 2003. The Consortium will consider presentations on topics ranging from formal training on provision of services, preparatory training for new staff and students, ethical issues, program development, general staff wellness, to training that mental health professionals provide for general correctional employees. They welcome presentations on adults or juvenile offenders, as well as on community corrections.
The symposium will take place in Kansas City, Missouri on April 19-21, 2004. The keynote speaker is Tom Fagan, former coordinator of clinical training for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
