Brooklyn, NY Mental Health Court Study Released

According to a new Center for Court Innovation report, the Brooklyn Mental Health Court achieved its goals of improving the court system's ability to identify, assess, and monitor offenders with mental illness; and using the authority of the court to link offenders with mental illness to appropriate mental health treatment services during its first 28 months of operations.

This report, The Brooklyn Mental Health Court Evaluation, examines the court's initial planning process, procedure implementation during the first two years, and participant outcomes.
